Queenstown pool player Simon Singleton has come back from the
Whanganui Open as champion.
Singleton won all seven of his games at the two-day
tournament last weekend to win his first title and the $1000
prize.
He got his revenge on Hawkes Bay's Bayden Jackson, who beat
him last year in the final of the New Zealand open in
Auckland.
The match was hard-fought, but Singleton eventually
prevailed. His next big competition will be in Levin at the
end of next month.
