There will be no excuses for early morning sleepiness when
Kuia, Lady Morrison joins other entrants on the starting line
of the Pat Farry Rural Health Education Trust Fun Run and
Walk, at 7am on March 16.
The 74-year-old great-grandmother's contagious enthusiasm for
walking motivates others, and the people of her home town,
Rotorua, where the event is being held, will support the
Queenstown-based trust, running and walking to highlight the
importance of rural general practice.
The event will be held in association with the New Zealand
Rural General Practice Network's annual conference in
Rotorua, which runs from March 13 to 17.
Fun Run and Walk organiser Sarah Swale, of Queenstown, said
she hoped the participation of Lady Morrison, the widow of
New Zealand entertainer Howard Morrison, will encourage
others to join the annual event in Rotorua on March 16.
Entry details and forms are available on the Pat Farry Trust
website. Late entries will be taken until March 15.
A name, residential address, and (preferably residential) telephone number is required from readers who comment on ODT Online. These details will not be visible to site visitors.
