Two reports have emerged this morning of an unidentified
flying object over the west of the South Island yesterday
afternoon.
A man crossing the Lindis Pass - between Omarama and Tarras -
reported to the ODT this morning seeing an extremely bright,
''sparkly'' silver light north west of his position, dropping
earthwards at about 2.45pm yesterday.
And Wanaka police say a group of people at West Wanaka saw a
bright light descending behind Treble Cone at about 2.50pm
yesterday.
The ODT would be interested in hearing of any other
