A child-care centre being built at Remarkables Park in
Frankton will help store owners in the shopping centre to
employ working parents as well as benefit families in the
surrounding area, Remarkables Park Ltd director Alastair Porter
said.
New roads worth $600,000 will provide a direct connection to
the child-care centre - Zig Zag Zoo 2, which has another
child-care centre in central Queenstown - and also connect to
future developments in the area.
Up to 75 pre-school children will be catered for at the
centre, which is to open in mid-June, and owner-operator Mike
Stewart said he expected it would be 50% full on opening day.
The development of the new roading and child-care centre
contributes to Remarkables Park Ltd's plan to more than
double the size of the Remarkables Park town centre.
