Six Indian tourists driving rental cars were deemed to be
unfit to be driving by Queenstown police yesterday.
Acting Sergeant Phil Hamlin said police received several
traffic complaints about the vehicles crossing the centre
line and weaving across the road on Gorge Rd.
The tourists were part of a tour group who were all using
rental cars, and after six of the group were forbidden to
drive, the tour host organised a bus to continue travelling
in.
Acting Sergeant Hamlin said the rental company was happy to
revoke the rental.
