Bycicle crime

On Friday, May 24 at 6pm, A bicycle was reported stolen from the rear of a vehicle parked at the Queenstown Recreation Ground. A second bicycle was left on the bike rack.

Saturday, May 25

• 3.50am: A 20-year-old Queenstown man and a 27-year-old Englishman living in Christchurch were given pre-charge warnings after allegedly fighting outside Night 'n Day, Camp St.

• 11.45am: A Korean national living in Auckland was arrested for alleged dangerous driving near the Devil's Staircase between Kingston and Queenstown.

• 1.44pm: A 77-year-old Winton man was driving a car occupied by his partner and his partner's elderly mother on a scenic tour on the Glenorchy-Queenstown Rd when he ''blacked out'', Acting Sergeant Tracy Haggart, of Queenstown, said.

The car crashed into bushes near the intersection with Moke Lake Rd. The elderly woman was treated for minor whiplash.

The man was issued with an infringement notice forbidding him to drive without medical clearance and may face charges.

• 9.20pm: An Indian man visiting New Zealand was charged with driving with a breath-alcohol level of 544mcg on SH6 at Ladies Mile.

Sunday, May 26

• 12.50am: A 35-year-old Queenstown man was arrested for breaching the liquor ban on Camp St.

• 1.25am: A 19-year-old Queenstown man was arrested for allegedly yelling abuse outside Starbucks on Queenstown Mall.

• 1.40am: A 30-year-old Invercargill man and member of a league team was arrested for disorderly behaviour after he allegedly yelled abuse at the door staff of Winnies in view of police.

• 3.20am: A 30-year-old Queenstown man was charged with driving with a breath-alcohol level of 598mcg on Stanley St.
