Skyline Queenstown is this month celebrating 13 staff members
who, combined, have worked for the tourism company for 160
Spearheaded by Marilyn Smillie, the company's senior retail
assistant, who has worked for Skyline for 25 years, general
manager Lyndon Thomas said August also served as the 20th
anniversary for two staff and the 15th anniversary for three.
Another three had worked there for 10 years and four had been
with the company more than five years.
They wereamong 21 staff celebrating long-service milestones
this year, Mr Thomas said.
''We continually recognise excellent performance, long
service and the achievements of our employees.
''We know our staff is our greatest asset, and if they're
happy then ultimately our guests will be happy,'' he said.
Mrs Smillie said after she first visited Queenstown in 1983
with her two young daughters she ''dreamed of working for
