Tasman Bay athlete Nathan Fa'avae ran the 13km uphill length
of the Remarkables ski area access road in 1hr 15min for the
second annual Remarks Road Run event on Saturday.
A field of 17 fun-runners tackled the 13km option, from the
access road entrance to the ski area car park, and two women
took on the 5.5km run, from the 7.5km road marker to the car
Coronet Peak ski patroller Ryan Hodges was one of the biggest
fundraisers for the Cancer Society, with more than $574. It
was estimated yesterday that the fun-run raised more than
$1300 for the charity.
