A 28-year-old Glenorchy woman was thrown from her vehicle and
trapped when it came to rest on top of her yesterday morning
on Glenorchy-Paradise Rd.
Acting Sergeant Brian Fitzgerald said luckily the woman
landed in a dip in a paddock.
St John manager for Central Otago Kelvin Perriman said the
woman was flown to Lakes District Hospital then transferred
to Southland Hospital by helicopter with moderate injuries to
her pelvis and back.
The accident was attended by St John staff, Lakes District
Air Rescue, police and fire crews at 10.45am.
