in 2012-13, which generated $17,147.

land were issued at a value of $3935.
The temporary land permits were for activities that included
sporting events, fundraising activities and weddings.
The council manages 32 table and chair permits in Queenstown,
eight in Wanaka, six in Arrowtown and one at Glenorchy, a
total of $55,857.
Around five applications for new or amended permits are
processed by the council each year.
• A report to be discussed at the council's finance and
corporate committee meeting today noted that ''elderly
housing rent is very cheap and we will present a report to
the property sub-committee in the near future, recommending a
gradual increase of the rent, requirement to occupy the flats
permanently (unless otherwise agreed) and stricter
eligibility that takes into account the applicant's
involvement in trusts''.
