The Southern Lakes Festival of Colour is welcoming the first
Lawrence Arabia band tour outside New Zealand's four main
centres, to Wanaka on November 7, and has teamed up with the
Queenstown Times to encourage music fans on this side
of the hill to take the trip.
Arabia, also known as James Milne, originally of
Christchurch, and band offer a concert of banter and
harmonious offbeat pop sensibilities, typical of their 2009
Silver Scroll-winning song Apple Pie Bed.
He entertained festival-goers playing alongside Mike
Fabulous, of the Black Seeds, and other musicians, as
''Fabulous Arabia'' earlier this year.
Lawrence Arabia plays in the Gin & Raspberry bar at 8pm.
Tickets cost only $25 per person, including a complimentary
gin and raspberry cocktail on arrival.
