Artist Jasmine Middlebrook, of New Plymouth, returns to
Artbay Gallery to join Queenstown artists Rachael Errington and
Amber Stephens on Friday.
Gallery owner Pauline Bianchi said it would be the first time
three artists had worked in residence at the same time.
Middlebrook, who graduated with a bachelor of fine arts
degree from Otago Polytechnic School of Art in 2010, was
runner-up in the Invercargill Licensing Trust Art Awards and
won the Otago Polytechnic's main art award, both in 2010.
Englishwoman Errington's bachelor of arts degree in
illustration opened the door to printmaking and photography.
She won the Sylvia Dowsett Memorial Award for her series of
prints depicting religious turmoil in Tibet.
Stephens studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, from
2005 to 2009 and since returning to New Zealand, gained a
postgraduate diploma in creative pathways in 2010.
