Queenstown hotels have been named among the best in the world in TripAdvisor's 2014 Travellers' Choice awards, recognising The Dairy Private Luxury hotel, the Sofitel and Millbrook Resort.
The Travellers' Choice awards were based on reviews and opinions of millions of TripAdvisor travellers, with 7123 properties around the world winning awards this year, 126 in New Zealand.
In its 12th year, the awards recognise the world's most outstanding properties.
The Dairy Private Luxury hotel was named the top luxury hotel in New Zealand, the best hotel for romance in New Zealand, the the top small hotel in New Zealand.
It also ranked highly on worldwide, national and South Pacific lists across the luxury, romance and small hotel categories.
Queenstown properties also won first and second place in the Top Hotel in New Zealand category, with Millbrook Resort first and the Sofitel Hotel & Spa in second place.
The Glebe Apartments gained fourth place in that category, followed by The Rees Hotel Luxury and Apartments in fifth.
