Social media photography sensation Trey Ratcliff snapped a bathroom selfie - complete with fake sheep - in the famous men's toilets at Sofitel hotel in Queenstown.
But the American - who runs the world's No.1 travel photo blog and has a social media following of six million - has not lost the plot.
It's all for charity.
Non-profit organisation Worldbuilders, which raises funds for agriculture charity Heifer International, is promising donors it'll get certain high-profile individuals to do stunts when it hits certain targets.
Ratcliff, 42, agreed to shoot an 'ill-advised' bathroom selfie required by Worldbuilders when fundraising hit $275,000.
"I've never taken a bathroom selfie because they seem so ridiculous to me," Ratcliff says.
"But I agreed to do something crazy for the good of the world. I ran a few ideas across my wife who informed me they were really much too ill-advised.
"So I dialled it all back and got a fake sheep."
Ratcliff borrowed the sheep from Aotea Souvenirs on Beach Street after some awkward explaining to store owner Richard Hanson.
"After I promised not to violate the fake sheep or do anything lewd, he agreed to let me borrow the sheep for one hour," Ratcliff says.
A video clip of Ratcliff bargaining, carrying the sheep and then setting up the shot as son Ethan stands guard outside the toilets, is on the Worldbuilders website.
