Boult joins Hawkins board

Queenstown businessman Jim Boult has been appointed to the Hawkins Group board of directors.

Hawkins Group is New Zealand's largest privately owned construction and infrastructure business and a statement from the company says Mr Boult is to join it as executive director in a governance and business development capacity.

Mr Boult was most recently Christchurch International Airport chief executive, a position he had held since February 2009.

He did not seek to renew his contract when it expired at the end of last year.

In 2010, he was named Airport Personality of the Year by the New Zealand Airports Association.

He has extensive business interests in a range of fields, including aviation, tourism, financial services, property, automotive, publishing and hospitality.
