A Queenstown police officer faces one charge of using
offensive language following an incident that happened in a
taxi in the resort last November.
The 43-year-old woman is due to appear in the Queenstown
District Court on March 18.
In November, Otago Rural acting area commander Inspector
Andrew Burns confirmed police had received a complaint in
relation to the alleged incident between the constable and a
Queenstown Taxis driver.
''The constable was on leave without pay at the time the
incident occurred and continues to be on leave without pay,''
She remains on leave without pay.
