A state of the art dental clinic for children will be built
on the Lakes District Hospital site at Frankton within the
next two years.
Southern District Health Board public health specialist oral
health services clinical leader Dr Tim Mackay said a project
team was being established.
Ministry of Health funding had been received for a two-chair
dental clinic, which was based on the projected population
figures for the Wakatipu over the next 20 years.
The clinical staff would take part in the design of the new
clinic which would come equipped with digital imaging
equipment, enabling quick, easy diagnosis of a child's oral
