The body of a 58-year-old Arrowtown man was recovered from the Shotover River near Queenstown yesterday.
Sergeant Steve Watt, of Queenstown, said the body was seen by a Shotover Jet boat driver about 10.40am and recovered from an area between Tucker Beach and Big Beach by 1pm.
The death was not being treated as suspicious, and had been referred to the coroner, Sgt Watt said.
The man's vehicle was found parked near the river.
