Queenstown police are looking for a Chinese National who has not been seen for almost two weeks.

Kwei Ying Wong - also known as Joyce - is a 63 year old woman who arrived in Queenstown on August 18 and was due to fly out of New Zealand on August 23, bound for Hong Kong, where she resides.

Joyce was last seen in Queenstown on Camp Street, outside the O'Connell Mall, about 2:35pm on August 22. She was wearing a knee length purple Puffer style coat with a light coloured top underneath, dark coloured leggings or tights, and calf length, black, flat sole boots.

She was also carrying a green daypack.

Detective Sergeant Brian Cameron, of Queenstown, is asking that anyone who may recall speaking to or seeing Ms Wong contact Queenstown Police.

Det Sgt Cameron said:  "Joyce's family, who all live overseas, are understandably very worried about her and are also appealing for help from the public."

Anyone with information should contact Snr Sgt Cameron on 03 441 1625. Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
