A 42-year-old Skydive Lake Wanaka employee was knocked unconscious by an incoming skydiver yesterday.
The incident happened at Wanaka Airport shortly after 3pm.
Wanaka St John paramedic Rod Walker said he understood the worker had been standing on the ground to help collapse the parachutes of skydivers as they came in to land in windy conditions.
Mr Walker said the man was ''a bit concussed'' and was taken to the Wanaka Medical Centre for observation. Skydive Lake Wanaka did not respond to a request for comment.
