Man throws axe though window after noise complaint

A Queenstown man allegedly threw an axe through someone's window after being chucked out of their home for being noisy.

Police were called to a Frankton Road address in the resort at 5am this morning. They arrested a man (22) and charged him with wilful damage.

Senior Constable Chris Blackford, of Queenstown police, said: "It appears the alleged offender had been removed to the balcony by occupants because he was being too noisy and people were sleeping. He's then allegedly thrown an axe through the window."
