Premium Skate Park Designs Ltd was this week lining the 3m deep clover-leaf shaped bowl with a 150mm layer of concrete.
The concrete is sprayed on to the walls and then hand-polished to a mirror finish, as it cures, to improve the ride for skateboarders and to prolong the life of the surface.
The concrete is also tinted to reduce glare.
