A Chinese tourist driver who nearly collided with a police car in Queenstown yesterday also had an unrestrained child in the vehicle.
Sergeant Keith Newell, of Queenstown, said the 36-year-old man was issued with infringement notices after being caught driving on the wrong side of Frankton Rd about 3.10pm.
''He almost collided head-on with a police car.''
One of the infringement notices related to an unrestrained 5-year-old child in the vehicle.
The man's rental vehicle agreement was cancelled.
