Two 14-year-old boys are being dealt with by police youth aid in relation to a series of fires in Wanaka public toilets during the past two weeks.
Acting Senior Sergeant Keith Newell said members of the public tipped off police after noticing smoke coming from public toilets near the Wanaka Marina about 8pm on Wednesday night.
One of the alleged offenders was a Wanaka boy, the other was from Auckland.
Acting Snr Sgt Newell thanked the public for their help in locating the pair.
