Treble Cone, the book about the history of the Wanaka skifield released last winter, has won the International Skiing History Association's Skade Award for outstanding work on regional ski history.
The book was written by Matt Conway, of Alexandra.
He said the award honoured a ''stubborn group of Kiwis'' who got the skifield rolling in the late 1960s.
