Warning in next-morning alcohol level

An Australian man caught driving with a breath-alcohol level of 360mcg on Sunday morning served as a warning to others, Sergeant Mark Gill, of Queenstown, said.

The 23-year-old, who lives in Queenstown, was stopped after he was seen overtaking a vehicle on a flush median strip at 7.30am.

Sgt Gill said the man's breath-alcohol level was attributed to alcohol he had consumed on Saturday night.

He was fined and forbidden to drive for 12 hours.
