Falklands service

A small contingent of New Zealanders and Australians, including Wanaka helicopter pilot Peter Garden, will attend an Anzac service at Port Stanley in the Falkland Islands tomorrow.

Six New Zealand members of ''team rat'', who have been clearing rats from South Georgia Island, are in transit at Port Stanley, on their way home.

In an email this week, Mr Garden said they had been invited to join a service arranged by Australians and New Zealanders living in the Falklands, and afterwards would attend a breakfast at Government House.

Mr Garden expects to be back in Wanaka on Tuesday.
