A 5-year-old girl was flown to Dunedin Hospital with head trauma today after falling from a tree in Central Otago.
The girl fell fell about 6m from the tree at a property in Luggate, between Wanaka and Cromwell, about 2.30pm, a St John spokeswoman said.
The girl was drowsy and blood was coming from one of her ears.
She was taken by ambulance to Dunstan Hospital then flown by rescue helicopter to Dunedin Hospital.
