A burglary at the Lake Hawea Hotel early yesterday is being investigated by police.
Senior Sergeant Allan Grindell said electronic surveillance showed a person had forced entry into the hotel about 1.30am and taken a ''moderate sum of cash''.
He asked members of the public who had seen any suspicious behaviour in the area to contact Wanaka police.
