Volunteers douse Queenstown house fire

Volunteer firefighters have put out a blaze at a Kelvin Heights house in Queenstown.

The blaze at the Peninsula Road house was well-involved when the fire brigade arrived - but the Frankton volunteers quickly brought it under control.

It's thought the female occupier was about to get in the shower when a suspected electrical fault occurred in the kitchen.

No was injured. Fire alarms were apparently present and working.

Three fire appliances and police attended.
