On May 29, Stewart-Hudson assaulted her partner, Joshua Brodie, and brother, Claude Stewart-Hudson, and intentionally damaged a Nissan ute during an incident at her home, the Queenstown District court heard yesterday.

Judge Mark Callaghan said Stewart-Hudson hit Mr Brodieseveral times around the head with a closed fist and when her mother and brother intervened, an argument ensued with her brother.

She picked up a ski and hit her brother over the back with it before her mother intervened again.

She then picked up a shovel and threatened Mr Brodie with it before throwing an exercise machine at Mr Brodie's vehicle, smashing the windscreen.

While on bail, Stewart-Hudson again assaulted Mr Brodie.

Judge Callaghan said alcohol and anger management were issues for the defendant. Special conditions of her supervision were to complete alcohol and drug counselling and anger management courses.
