The Wanaka A&P Show has lost out to Balloons over Waikato in the ''best established community event'' category at the New Zealand Association of Event Professionals awards.
There were four finalists.
The Queenstown Winter Festival was a finalist in the ''best partnership for an event'' category, won by the Motutapu-Rangitoto Traverse.
