Doc staff take new roles

Three Department of Conservation managers based in Central Otago have donned new hats.

Phil Tisch, who was the Department of Conservation's (Doc) conservation partnerships manager in Wanaka, has been appointed national partnerships manager.

He will still be based in Wanaka.

Mr Tisch said he was excited about the opportunity to work on national initiatives.

Chris Sydney has been appointed southern South Island improvement manager.

Formerly conservation services manager in Wanaka, Mr Sydney will still be based in Wanaka.

Alexandra-based Mike Tubbs becomes Central Otago operations manager, responsible for a huge area, from Macraes in the east to the Main Divide in the west, and the Nevis Valley in the south to the Lindis Pass in the north.

His previous job was Doc conservation services manager in Alexandra.
