Sixteen-year-old Wanaka freeskier Finn Bilous has been named flag bearer for the New Zealand team at the opening ceremony of the Youth Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway, tomorrow (NZT).
Bilous will lead an 11-strong New Zealand team which includes Jackson Wells (Wanaka), Tiarn Collins (Queenstown), Matthew Neilson, Courtney Smith, Benjamin Smith and Holly Thompson (Ranfurly).
Bilous said he was excited to carry the flag and believed the games would be valuable preparation for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics.
