Revellers well behaved

St Patrick's Day revellers were well behaved in Queenstown, police say.

Sergeant Mark Gill said it was relatively quiet in the resort on Thursday and early yesterday, with no arrests for assaults or disorderly behaviour.

A 24-year-old man reported being punched in the head by another man in Rees St about 1am, but could not provide a description of his attacker.

He was taken to Lakes District Hospital for treatment for a head cut.

Three Queenstown men were charged with drink-driving near the town centre overnight.

A 45-year-old man recorded a breath-alcohol reading of 304mcg after being stopped in Gorge Rd at 10.10pm on Thursday.

A 34-year-old man recorded a reading of 301mcg when he was stopped in Hallenstein St at 12.35am, and a 24-year-old man recorded 396mcg after being stopped in Man St about 3am.

All three were suspended from driving for 12 hours.
