The musical features an on-stage cast of almost 40, including 14 children.
It marks the first time in almost 20 years a production has been made up entirely of local talent, both on stage and behind the scenes.
The lead role is being shared by 11-year-old Sofia Taquet, of Queenstown, and Thea Erichsen (13), of Wanaka.
Annie opens at the Queenstown Memorial Centre on Thursday night and runs until May 21.
