Fashion parades, an auction, raffles and a special performance by one of New Zealand's most successful singer-songwriters helped to raise $9100 for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation in Queenstown yesterday.

The second annual Pink Ribbon Breakfast, held at Jacks Point, was attended by about 100 people, including Anika Moa.

Moa (35) had been on holiday in Queenstown following the Yami Sounz Summit in Wanaka over the weekend.

Before performing My Old Man, dedicated to her late father, and a cover of Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U, Moa spoke about her rapid rise to fame and the realisation she was happiest being a parent to her three children and "successful in my own right''.
