If there is a shortage of milk in Wanaka and Queenstown today, then this is likely to be the explanation.
A truck and trailer unit belonging to TIL Freight and carrying 17 tonnes of bottled milk left State Highway 8A near Tarras just before noon yesterday and tipped on its side in the water table.
Tarras Chief Fire Officer Mark Davidson said the driver received a knock to the head and sore ribs and was treated by St John personnel. The cause of the crash was unknown.
