Closing the Milford road from the eastern entrance of the
Homer Tunnel for up to two weeks starting yesterday should
not affect tourism, despite Queen's Birthday Weekend falling
in the middle of the closure.
The father of a British man killed in the Fox Glacier tragedy
says the Government has failed to improve the safety of
adventure tourism and New Zealand remains "more dangerous
than it should be".
