Fernando Alonso produced Ferrari's first victory of the
Formula One season at the British Grand Prix on Sunday after
championship leader Sebastian Vettel's hopes were thwarted by
a pit-stop blunder.
McLaren drivers Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton could be
relying on the famously fickle British summer weather to have
a real chance of challenging at their home Grand Prix this
weekend.
Silverstone has completed the 27 million-pound overhaul of
its pits and paddock it promised to help secure its 17-year
agreement to host Formula One's British Grand Prix.
Silverstone is the battleground this weekend for a pair of
British Formula One title contenders for the first time in
more than a decade - and a year after it seemed the circuit
might never witness such a duel again.
