Pulled over driver elects blood test

A 30-year-old Queenstown man was stopped at 1.50am on Sunday in Edinburgh Dr and alleged to be drink-driving. The man elected a blood test and police are awaiting the results.

Multiple charges for Queenstown man

A 31-year-old Queenstown man was arrested and charged with disorderly behaviour, resisting arrest and assault of a police officer early on Monday morning. The man had been asked to leave a bar on Steamer Wharf at 2.05am when "things turned nasty", Senior Constable Chris Blackford said. He was due to appear in the Queenstown District Court yesterday.

Teen caught driving with drugs and suspended licence

A 19-year-old English man was stopped while driving on Stanley St at 2.30pm Wednesday. He was found to have cannabis on him and was driving while his licence was suspended.

Disqualified boy caught driving

A 16-year-old Arrowtown boy was referred to Youth Aid after police caught him driving while disqualified at 6.20pm on Friday.

Phone stolen from car

A Samsung Galaxy phone was stolen from an unlocked car at the Queenstown library parking lot on Sunday afternoon. A man had reported the incident to police at 2.30pm on Sunday, but there had been no leads so far, Senior Constable Chris Blackford said.

Queenstown police have a busy week

A 32-year-old Englishman stole six bottles of beer from a pallet being unloaded outside a Shotover St bar at 7pm on Tuesday.

Englishman arrested and charged

A 26-year-old Englishman was arrested and charged with unlawfully being on a property after he allegedly went into the bedrooms of two women at a Queenstown address at 3.45am on Monday. Senior Constable Chris Blackford said the man was intending to visit a friend at the address and the women were concerned enough about his actions to call police. He will appear in Queenstown District Court.
