Northland star Rene Ranger's chances of making the All
Blacks' end-of-year tour are up in the air after he suffered
a hamstring injury in Northland's national provincial
championship rugby 24-40 loss to Counties Manukau in Pukekohe
yesterday.
New Zealand scored two tries in the last 15 minutes to snatch
a 23-22 win over Australia in the Tri-Nations tonight,
setting a record of 10 straight wins against the Wallabies.
All Black wing Rene Ranger was interviewed by the media in
Wellington yesterday. Ranger will make his first test start
for the All Blacks against South Africa in the Tri-Nations

The All Blacks will each receive a
$100,000 bonus if the team wins next year's World Cup under
the new collective employment agreement between the New
Zealand Rugby Union and the NZ Rugby Players Association
announced yesterday.
The All Blacks went through the motions to defeat an
ill-disciplined Wales 29-10 in the second rugby test in
Hamilton tonight and complete a clean sweep of their June
internationals.
Otago lock Tom Donnelly is likely to get back into test rugby
this weekend, as the All Blacks enjoy what coach Graham Henry
calls a more balanced game.
It is not often the All Blacks draw inspiration from the
round-ball code but they will take some lessons from the All
Whites when they play Wales at Carisbrook on Saturday.
