About 320 graduands will graduate in person from the
University of Otago, with qualifications mainly in law,
commerce and health sciences, in a ceremony at the Regent
Theatre, Dunedin, at 1pm today.
Tracy Josephs, a biochemistry researcher at the University of
Otago, has sparked international scientific interest with a
study which could also help shed new light on problems
involving cell death in cancer and Alzheimer's disease.
This is the day Dunedin residents Luxmanan Selvanesan and his
wife, Carthika Luxmanan, once feared would never come, after
a ''devastating'' house fire destroyed some key parts of his
University of Otago PhD research.
About 340 people will graduate in person from the University
of Otago with qualifications including applied science,
consumer and applied sciences, physical education, and
surveying in a ceremony at the Regent Theatre at 4pm today.
About 110 other people will graduate in absentia.

in a ceremony at the Regent Theatre at 1pm today.
About 210 graduands, including in law, dentistry, health
sciences, medicine, pharmacy and physiotherapy, will graduate
in person from the University of Otago in a ceremony at the
Regent Theatre at 4pm today.
About 280 graduands will graduate from the University of
Otago with qualifications in commerce at a graduation
ceremony at the Regent Theatre, Dunedin, at 3pm today.
