Rescuers were pulling bodies from the debris of a landslide
that struck mountainous central Papua New Guinea, a disaster
official said Wednesday, with reports saying as many as 60
people were dead or missing.
The family of a former Dunedin man who escaped injury in an
aircraft crash which claimed four lives - including that of
another New Zealander - is breathing a sigh of relief.
The New Zealand High Commissioner and Australian government
officials are on their way to a remote plane crash site in
Papua New Guinea where one New Zealander and three
Australians died.
