A Marlborough vineyard owner, who has been offered $200
compensation by the "Waihopai Three" after they cut his fence
during a raid on the Waihopai spy base near Blenheim, says
they should also pay up a $1.1 million damages claim to the
Crown.
Three peace activists walked free today even though they
admitted breaking into a Government spy base near Blenheim
and slashing an inflatable plastic dome covering a satellite
dish.
The jury retired this afternoon to consider its verdicts in
the trial of three men accused of breaking into and damaging
the Waihopai spy base near Blenheim.
