The economies of scale,
the ability for a variety of sports to share resources, and
the proximity to tertiary facilities would make a proposed
sports hub at Dunedin's Logan Park unequalled in New Zealand,
Sport Otago chief executive John Brimble says.
Sport Otago has called for changes to some of Dunedin's
recreational facilities, including turning Logan Park into a
fully-fledged sports hub and supporting a "two-pool option"
for the city's aquatic facilities.
