The technology world now is all about tablet devices. Symantec is again warning of a new range of cyber threats. Technology editor Dene Mackenzie asks: who is listening to the warnings?
Taiwan's AsusTek has unveiled a portable tablet computer that
runs on Microsoft's Windows 7 operating system, joining a
slew of manufacturers trying to tap demand for the sleek
devices following Apple's launch of the iPad.
The nonprofit organisation that has tried to produce a $US100
laptop for children in the world's poorest places is throwing
in the towel on that idea - and jumping on the tablet
bandwagon.
