Family Band revisit roots

Touring family-based band "Lava" is playing Invercargill as part of its current South Island tour.

Invercargill has special significance for singer Amanda O'Connor, whose family grew up here in the 50s and 60s before her father, Lester Ironside, found work in America as a surveyor and took wife Beatrice (nee Mackay) and their eight children by boat to New York.
