Dunedin woman finishes 8th in Hong Kong Marathon

The 2011 Hong Kong Marathon was run today. New Zealand had two competitors in the Elite Woman's section of the race, Victoria Beck and Shireen Crumpton both of Dunedin.

Dunedin school children will next week be given the opportunity to try trampolining.

Despite an abundance of Gymnastics clubs in the city there is currently no trampoline club. It is hoped that the holiday programme will be the first step to building interest in this sport and potentially forming a club that can offer the community the benefits of trampoline.

BlissFest set to bring kayakers to Dunedin

On Saturday the 2nd of October and Sunday the 3rd of October the annual Bliss-Stick Kayak Festival will see white-water kayakers from all over the lower South Island descend upon Dunedin. The event is the first for 2010 in the NZ Freestyle Kayak series which includes events in Tekapo, Rotorua, and Taupo over the summer months.
