A man armed with a knife has wounded two police officers as they tried to free a hostage from a house south of Brisbane.
Police stormed the home and used a Taser to subdue the man about 1am but two officers suffered cuts.
One will need surgery to his hand, while the other suffered a minor cut to a finger.
Police say the 26-year-old man had locked himself and a woman inside a bedroom at the home, in the Logan suburb of Greenbank.
Despite the efforts of police negotiators, the man refused to release the 27-year-old woman and began threatening her with the knife.
The woman also suffered a cut to her arm during the incident.
The man is facing charges including causing grievous bodily harm to an officer, assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed and possession of a dangerous drug.
He will appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
Meanwhile, another man is in custody after a separate stand-off with police at Everton Hills in Brisbane.
Police were called to a home where a man was armed with a rifle.
A woman and four children sheltered in the home as the drama played out.
At one stage, police declared an emergency situation and closed down surrounding streets.
The 52-year-old man ultimately walked out of the home about 1am and was arrested. No one was hurt.
Charges are yet to be laid.
