A man armed with a knife has wounded two police officers as
they tried to free a hostage from a house south of Brisbane.
Police stormed the home and used a Taser to subdue the man
about 1am but two officers suffered cuts.
One will need surgery to his hand, while the other suffered a
minor cut to a finger.
Police say the 26-year-old man had locked himself and a woman
inside a bedroom at the home, in the Logan suburb of

The man is facing charges including causing grievous bodily
harm to an officer, assault occasioning bodily harm whilst
armed and possession of a dangerous drug.
He will appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday

closed down surrounding streets.
The 52-year-old man ultimately walked out of the home about
1am and was arrested. No one was hurt.
Charges are yet to be laid.
